The participant of the program ”Rusting walls” – Liana Arakelyan’s family lives in Marmashen village of Shirak region. Liana and her husband-Sedrak, living within rusty walls, try to do everything for their little children. Their dream is to have a bright, warm, big and comfortable stone house. Sedrak is unable to do hard work because of health problems. He has the second degree disability. The family lives on allowance of 35,000 AMD. Recently Liana’s pain has grown; she is no longer able to sleep normally. Liana needs surgery, but she keeps postponing it due to financial problems.

This problem can be considered as solved, FRF managed to find and to provide funds for Liana’s surgery and treatment. During our visit, Liana had just returned from Yerevan. She was at a regular medical examination. After broadcasting of that programthe editorial office of ”Semi-open windows”received numerous calls and letters. People were surprised at Liana’s strength of will. Our compatriots living in the United States offered their help. The purpose of our visit was to deliver theassistance provided for the family.

Liana confesses that food has become a problem lately, because she cannot afford buying everything that the children need.

The children were particularly happy with their clothes. After bringing the boxes to the house, the little ones begun impatiently opening the boxes, taking the presents and trying on the clothes.
