Our film crew visited the family of Martik Melkonyan, a resident of Aygavan community of Ararat region, with 17 children. For Martik and his wife Angela, 17 children are their wealth. Despite the difficulties, they are able to keep the children. According to Angela, the village is a place, they are mainly engaged in agriculture, they go to the field, they have 200 meters of land in front of the house, they cultivate it, gather vegetables, prepare food. The fighter has a third degree disability, has cardiovascular problems, is unable to do heavy physical work. Angela also takes care of the children, and if they have free time to play with the children, they are happy, they prepare the lessons. On the 28th anniversary of Armenia’s independence, the Melkonyan family with many children was awarded the highest award of the Republic of Armenia, the MEDAL OF PARENTAL GLORY. Despite the difficulties and social problems, Martik and Angela decided. “The more children God gives, the more they should have.” Last year, thanks to the benefactors, they installed solar water heaters.
