When Vitaly heard that his Armenian friend was going to come to Armenia from Ukraine to defend his homeland in 1993, he came with him without hesitation. In 1993, his combat friend died in front of Vitali’s eyes, after which he promised himself that he should continue his friend’s work and fight for his friend’s homeland.
