Վիտալին լսելով, որ հայ ընկերը 1993 թվականին Ուկրաինայից պատրաստվում է գալ Հայաստան պաշտպանելու իր հայրենիքն, առանց երկմտելու եկավ նրա հետ: 1993 թվականին Վիտալիի աչքի առջև զոհվեց իր մարտական ընկերը, որից հետո նա ինքն իրեն խոստացավ, որ պետք է շարունակի ընկերոջ գործը և պայքարի հանուն ընկերոջ հայրենիքի: 30 տարի շարունակ ապրելով Հայաստանում, Վիտալին իր տարինները նվիրել և շարունակում է նվիրել հայ հողին, սակայն լինում են ժամանակներ, երբ հայ հողն ու բաց երկինքն են լինում օրվա վերջին հանգրվանը:
