26-year-old Aksanna Safaryan’s husband, Marat Safaryan, sacrificed his life for the sake of the motherland during the 44-day war. Today, the mother of two minor children left her homeland, the Republic of Artsakh, and is raising her children with the help of her parents and her husband’s relatives. During the 44-day war, Aksanna was in Armenia when she received the news of her husband’s death. After the war, she returned to Artsakh Republic and continued her life there with her children. Keeping the most precious thing in her heart, Aksanna with her family left her homeland with tears in her eyes, dreaming of returning there again.
