After leaving Shushi in 2020, Mariam and Gurgen realized that they could not live in the Republic of Armenia and decided to return to Artsakh, this time to the city of Stepanakert. The short-lived stability was followed by a siege and forced displacement, as a result of which the family ended up in the village of Arjut in Lori . Moving from place to place, today Mariam’s family settled in the village of Arjut, where, according to Mariam, they are able to make ends meet with great difficulty.
