In 2000, when Shavarsh’s sons decided to move out of Armenia, Shavarsh kept his 5-year-old grandson, Karen. Proud of his grandson’s success, Shavarsh sent Karen off in 2014 for military service. In 2015, the only pillar of Shavarsh was killed by the enemy, whose demobilization was only 4 months left and the grandfather was left alone to solve his old and new problems.
