In 2006, Hasmik visited the Alaverdians’ house, but Samvel’s father decided that Hasmik should be his son’s wife. In 2020, the Artsakh war resumed, during which Hasmik stood behind her husband during any difficulties, waiting with every second for her husband’s phone call standing at the border. Taking part in the 44-day war in 2020, Samvel returned home safe and sound, but while defending the homeland, on July 14, 2021, Hasmik was informed that Samvel had died.
