2006 թվականին Հասմիկն Ալավերդյանների տուն հյուր էր եկել, սակայն Սամվելի հայրը որոշում կայացրեց, որ Հասմիկը հենց պետք է լինի իր որդու կինը: 2020 թվականին վերսկսվեց  Արցախյան պատերազմը, և այդ  ընթացքում ցանկացած դժվարության ժամանակ Հասմիկը կանգնած էր ամուսնու թիկունքին, և ամեն  վայրկյան հույսով սպասում էր սահմանին կանգնած  ամուսնու հեռախոսազանգին Մասնակցելով  2020 թվականի 44-օրյա պատերազմին Սամվելը ողջ և առողջ տուն վերադարձավ, սակայն հայրենիքի սահմանները պաշտպանելիս 2021 թվականի հուլիսի 14-ին Հասմիկին հայտնեցին, որ Սամվելը զոհվել է:
