Վերին Գետաշեն գյուղում  ապրող Հովիկ Կարապետյանին ճանաչողները պնդում են, որ երբ մայրը ողջ էր նրանց ընտանիքում ամեն ինչ բարեհաջող էր, իսկ այսօր նա մնացել է հոգեկան առողջական խնդիրներ  ունեցող հոր հետ։ 18 տարեկանում կատարված վիրահատությունից հետո Հովիկը թակել է տարբեր բժշկական հաստատությունների դռները,սակայն պատասխանը` ցավերը անբուժելի են։ Վերջին 4 տարվա ընթացքում Հովիկի առողջական վիճակով անհանգստանում է ամբողջ գյուղը, չնայած նրան, որ Հովիկը կորցրել է հույսը, որ մի օր ցավերը կդադարեն ու ինքը կքայլի։
