Բորիս Գասպարյանի ընտանիքը Սումգայիթյան ջարդերից փրկվելով 1988 թվականին հաստատվեց Արցախում։ Ընտանիքը նոր էր հարմարվել տեղահանմանը, երբ սկսվեց Արցախյան առաջին պատերազմն ու ընտանիքի որդին ՝16-ամյա Բորիսը մեկնեց պատերազմ։ 2016թ Արցախյան քառօրյա պատերազմի ժամանակ Բորիսից 4 օր ընտանիքի անդամները լուր չունեին և միայն տուն վերադառնալուց հետո իմացան, որ վերջինս գալիս է պատերազմից։ 2020թ նոյեմբերի 7- ին Շուշիի մատույցներում, պատերազմի ամենաթեժ կետում Բորիսը կյանքը տվեց հանուն հայրենիքի, հանուն այն հողի, որի համար ամբողջ կյանքն անցկացրել է պայքարի մեջ:
