Արմավիր մարզի Հայթաղ գյուղի իր պապական տանն է ապրում Գրիգոր Մկրտչյանը  կնոջ Մարգարիտի և որդու Էդգարի հետ։ Ապրիլյան  քառօրյա պատերազմի օրերին Գրիգորը  առանց երկար մտածելու մեկնեց Արցախ։ Իսկ էդգարը որպես  ժամկետային զինծառայող պաշտպանում էր հայրենիքի սահմանները։ Ռազմական գործողությունների ընթացքում վիրավորում ստացած Էդգարը  չլքեց մարտի դաշտը և միայն հրադադարից հետո դիմեց բուժօգնություն ստանալու համար։ Այսօր Գրիգորն ու կինը`  Մարգարիտը մտահոգված են Էդգարի օր օրի խորացող առողջական խնդիրներով:
