Երիտասարդ տարիքում Էվելինան կյանքը կապեց Մարտիկ Ավետիսյանի հետ: Նրանց միջև տարիքային տարբերությունը 23 տարի էր: Նրանք ապրում էին Տեղ համայնքում, սակայն պատերազմը ընդհատեց երջանկությունը: 2020 թվականի վերսկսված պատերազմը Էվելինա Նահապետյանից խլեց ամուսնուն և նրա 3 զավակների հորը, որին  Հադրութի շրջանում ճանաչում էին որպես Տողեցի Մայոր: Մարտիկ Ավետիսյանի սպանությունից հետո տեղահանված Ավետիսյանների ընտանիքը ժամանակ առ ժամանակ մի վայրից մյուսը տեղափոխվելով,  հասավ քաղաք Չարենցավան, որտեղ էլ պայքարի արմատներ դրեց Մայորի որդին՝ 18 -ամյա Նորիկը:
