Ալավերդիից Արցախի՝ Քարեգահ գյուղ տեղափոխվախ Գայանեն, 2009 թվականին Սարգիսի հետ կազմեց ընտանիք: Պատերազմի ժամանակ Գայանենի ու Սարգիսի առաջին մտածմունքը, երեխաններին գյուղից անվտանգ դուրս բերելն էր, իսկ կորստները և դժվարությունները երկրորդական էին: Քարեգահում կազմվեց Գայանեի ու Հրայրի ընտանիքը, որտեղ նրանք երկուսով զրոյից ստեղծեցին ամեն ինչ, սակայն այսօր Քարեգահից հեռու նրանք նորից ամեն ինչ սկսել են զրոյից:
