2020 թվականի սեպտեմբերի 27-ին վերսկսված Արցախյան երկրորդ պատերազմը ճակատագրական դարձավ նաև Մյուրիշենում ապրող Մարիամի և Գագիկի համար: Նույն օրը Մարիամը երեք երեխաների հետ լքեց գյուղը, որի հետ իր խոսքով, այդքան երազանքներ էր կապել։Հոկտեմբերի 24-ին Մատաղիսում կռիվների ժամանակ Գագիկը վիրավորվեց:Գագիկն արդեն վեց անգամ վիրահատվել է։ Այս պահին նա դեռ բուժվում է և առջևում երկար վերականգնողական աշխատանքներն են։ Առուստամյանների ընտանիքը այժմ ժամանակավորապես ապրում է Մարիամի քրոջ տանը՝ Էջմիածնում: Բնակարանի հարցով Գագիկը դիմել է Արցախի կառավարությանը: Գագիկն ամեն ինչ անում է որպեսզի շուտ ոտքի կանգնի ու նորից սկսի աշխատել, որ կարողանա ընտանիքի հոգսերը հոգալ: Արտերկրում ապրող մեր հայրենակիցները, թե պատերազմի օրերին, թե այսօր կանգնած են պատերազմի հետևանքով անտուն դարձած արցախցիների կողքին։ Միացյալ նախանգներում բնակվող մեր հայրենակիցը, որը չցանկացավ ներկայանալ, ընտանիքին ապահովեց անահրաժեշտ պարագաներով՝ զգեստապահանով, լվացքի մեքենայով, սնունդով և իհարկե դեղորայքով, ինչը այս պահին շատ է հարկավոր, որպեսզի Գագիկը հնարավորինս արագ ոտքի կանգնի։
